ANATEL (National Telecommunications Agency in Brazil) has recently notified according to Resolution No. 715, Article 53, stating that Certificates of Conformities will be canceled after 180 days of suspension if non-conformities are not fixed, or if the justification provided is not accepted by the Accredited Body (OCD) in Brazil.
For renewals:
- ANATEL will no longer process renewal requests for certificates that have been expired for more than six months.
- If the renewal deadline is missed, applicants will be required to apply for a new certification, which will result in the issuance of a new ANATEL ID and likely will require new testing.
This update emphasizes the importance of timely ANATEL renewals to avoid new testing and additional fees associated with the process.
LARCG tracks renewals for your certifications in Brazil and will advise of upcoming expiration dates. Please contact us for additional information on this update.
